Erin Dilly, John Bolton and More Join A Christmas Story

Erin Dilly, John Bolton, Zac Ballard, Caroline O’Connor and Eddie Korbich have been added to the cast of A Christmas Story, the upcoming Broadway musical based on the 1983 film. Featuring a score by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, the musical will begin performances November 5 at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre. Opening night is set for November 19, with the limited engagement ending its run on December 30. Casting for the central role of Ralphie has not yet been announced.

Bolton will reprise his role as The Old Man, which he played during the show's national tour last year. Dilly will play Mother, with Ballard playing Randy, Ralphie’s little brother. O’Connor will play school teacher Miss Shields, and Eddie Korbich will play Santa Claus. The five principals join previously announced star Dan Lauria, who will play narrator Jean Shepherd.

The ensemble for the production will include Tia Altinay, John Babbo, Charissa Bertels, Grace Capeless, Zoe Considine, Andrew Cristi, Mathew deGuzman, Thay Flloyd, George Franklin, Nick Gaswirth, Mark Ledbetter, Jose Luaces, Jack Mastrianni, Mara Newbery, Lindsay O’Neil, Sarah Min-Kyung Park, J.D. Rodriguez, Analise Scarpaci, Lara Seibert, Jeremy Shinder, Luke Spring, Beatrice Tulchin, and Kirsten Wyatt.

Dilly most recently filled in for Kelli O’Hara as Billie Bendix in Nice Work If You Can Get It. Her previous Broadway credits include Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (which earned her a Tony nomination for Best Actress in a Musical), The Boys from Syracuse, Something Good, Into the Woods and Follies.

Bolton joins the Broadway production after appearing in A Christmas Story's national tour. His Broadway resume includes original roles in Curtains, Spamalot, Contact and Titanic. His additional theater credits include How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying and Damn Yankees.

O’Connor made her Broadway debut in 2002 as Velma Kelly in the long-running revival of Chicago. Her film credits include Moulin Rouge and De-Lovely. 

Korbich has appeared on Broadway in The Drowsy Chaperone,The Little Mermaid, After the Night and the Music, Wicked, Seussical, Carousel and Sweeney Todd.
